| NATIVE GRASS MIXTURE | |
| Zone 7 is region of abundant summer and winter precipitation and deep well drained soils typical of the corn belt in the US and France. Row crops dominate this zone simply because of the productive potential and excellent climatic, edaphic and geographic conditions. For specific recommendations for habitat mitigation, native plantings and seed availability, please call Cebeco International Seeds, Inc. for options. (1-800-445-2251). | |
NOTES: Influenced by available diet, animals have developed a unique method of digesting plant nutrients. Since plants contain cellulose, a glucose polymer which makes up part of the plant fiber, it is interesting that animals do not have a digestive enzyme capable of breaking down cellulose. Instead, their digestive tracts contain vast numbers of symbiotic micro-organisms which digest the fiber and soluble plant constituents by fermentation.
