NOTES: Winter overseeding/sodseeding typically planted 60 days prior to average fall freeze date. Bison or Tetrelite intermediate ryegrass is often mixed with an early to establish rye. This mixture provides insurance for improved cold tolerance and partitions forage production over extended period. If rotationally grazed properly the rye is ready for pasture 45 to 60 prior to the ryegrass. Grazer is a very early to mature annual ryegrass. Grazers rapid decline in spring growth and early plant senescence provide excellent transitional qualities. Grazer will not compete with new spring growth of warm season perennial forages.
